3D Printing Prototype Control Yoke

When we carry out repairs, or manufacture new components and parts, it is important for us to get a feel of our designs and ideas. Here is a prime example of where 3D Printing becomes an invaluable tool.

We have a DHC-2 Beaver Control Yoke with corrosion present, in order to weigh up repair or manufacture. We created a CAD model of the part and then to check the accuracy of the model, have 3D printed a prototype to check compare to the original. With the 3D printed part, we can play with repair ideas and damage the part as necessary without any worry of damaging the original part before it is required.
